Description

Originally dating from the early 1950s, the Balandino Airport was expanded to better accommodate the larger passenger jets that increasingly fly to the Chelyabinsk region. The enlarged and upgraded infrastructure helped expand airport capacity to over 1.2 million passengers annually.


Products Used

PENETRON Russia was asked to help ensure water impermeability and enhanced durability for the expansion project of the airport. PENETRON ADMIX was used for the floor slabs; PENETRON topical material and PENECRETE MORTAR were applied on the walls and tie beams (binding joist).
