Tinkers Creek Aqueduct (Ohio & Erie Canal)

Valley View, OH, USA

Description

Tinkers Creek Aqueduct was constructed to bridge the Ohio & Erie Canal over Tinkers Creek near its confluence with the Cuyahoga River in Valley View, Ohio. Originally completed in 1845 and rebuilt in 1905, but deteriorated and was removed in 2007. A reconstruction project was begun by the National Park Service to restore the aqueduct across Tinkers Creek.

Products Used

PENETRON ADMIX was used to treat the concrete used in the two-span aqueduct, and PENETRON crystalline material was added to the underlying trough to ensure a waterproof and durable solution – by filling any voids and cracks with insoluble crystals.
