Description
The upgrade work on the Hendricks County Wastewater Treatment Plant included a new 60-foot diameter concrete circular final effluent clarifier, UV disinfection tank, new base slab, several vertical walls for the 116x89-ft. vertical loop reactor biological treatment tank, extension of the clarifier slitter box, and underground piping.
Products Used
PENETRON ADMIX SB-treated concrete was used for concrete structures exposed to effluent. Delivered in pre-measured soluble bags, PENETRON ADMIX SB was added by Shelby Materials to the concrete mix during the batching phase to reduce concrete permeability, increase chemical resistance, and enable the self-sealing of any new or future hairline cracks.
