Because of its proximity to the Black Sea, construction was impacted by a high water table at the construction site. Anagy, the local contractor, treated all below-ground concrete structures with PENETRON ADMIX, including over 1,100 m3 (1,440 cubic yards) of concrete used for the basement walls. PENETRON, a surface-applied, integral crystalline waterproofing material, was used to treat the basement slab (90 m2/970 square feet), 8,243 m2 (88,727 square feet) of basement walls and in eight elevator shafts. PENECRETE MORTAR and PENEBAR SW waterstop were used on more than 900 m (2,950 feet) of construction joints.
