Description
The upgrade to the Village of Grafton wastewater treatment plant included construction of a new headworks building to house a new perforated band screen, new wash and press system, new vortex grit removal system, new grit pumping system, new grit washer, new influent pumps, new primary clarifier splitter box, fill influent channels, and fill-in aerated grit chambers.

Thanks to a history of successful projects carried out at similar treatment facilities, PENETRON ADMIX SB was approved as an alternative to previously specified concrete waterproofing solutions. The crystalline waterproofing admixture was used to protect the top slabs and retaining walls of the Grafton plant’s water-retaining structures.
