Sayano-Shushenskaya Hydro Power Station

Description

As of 2009 the Sayano-Shushenskaya Hydro Power Station, was the largest power plant in Russia and the world's sixth-largest hydroelectric plant by average power generation. It provides more than a quarter of RusHydro's generation capacity. Originally built in 1978 and after decades of operation, the facility required extensive renovation work.


Products Used

PENETRON material was used to waterproof the upper and lower pools adjacent to the dam structure. The PENETRON System was also applied to the overlapping premises of the dam edge, cable sections of machinery plant and the lining of the water conduit of the N2 hydro factory.
