The 65-floor tower (260 m / 860-feet high) of the Shangri-La Jeddah Hotel faces the Red Sea for optimal solar exposure to light up the hotel’s rooms and power the solar panels. In addition to 236 luxury hotel rooms, there are 122 serviced residences. The hotel features four restaurants, a three-floor ballroom, a spa and fitness area, a swimming pool, a children’s club, and several lounges.
Products Used
PENETRON ADMIX was specified to treat 30,000 m3 (39,300 cubic yards) of concrete for the hotel’s foundation slab, all basement walls, the hotel water storage tanks and the swimming pool. PENECRETE MORTAR was used to seal any emerging cracks in the existing concrete.
