St. Petersburg Metro

St. Petersburg, Russia

Description

One of Russia’s oldest and largest metro systems was first opened in 1938, just prior to the start of WW2 and 16 years before other subway lines were completed. Since then, this historic underground network has successively expanded its reach, which today includes five lines, 120 km (74 miles) of tracks, and 67 stations.

Products Used

The PENETRON St. Petersburg team has provided reliable concrete repair and new construction solutions for numerous projects over the years. Because of the proximity of the city’s Neva River and the resulting high water table, a variety of PENETRON products were used to enhance impermeability of the concrete structures and stop the recurring water leaks.
