Description

After 50 years of service, this historic bridge urgently needed repairs and extensive restoration work. The original wooden bridge was built in 1758 and reconstructed several times since then. The current structure dates from the early 1960s and has three spans, with the middle span featuring a draw bridge. Measuring at a length of 226 m (742 feet) and a width of 36 m (118 feet), the Tuchkov Bridge connects Vasilievsky Island and Petrogradsky Island.


Products Used

The PENETRON team in St. Petersburg recommended a topical application of PENETRON crystalline material to prevent demolition of the reinforced concrete pillars, saving the project significant amounts of both time and money for the project – and providing a waterproof structure with enhanced durability
