Description
The Bascom Hill/Lathrop Drive utility project replaced, relocated, and added new underground tunnels for thermal utilities (steam and chilled water), electrical utilities (primary electric/signal communications), and civil utilities (domestic water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer) adjacent to the Science Hall at the Madison, WI campus.
Products Used
Wingra Redi-Mix, the project’s ready-mix concrete supplier, specified PENENTRON ADMIX SB to treat 1,300 yds3 of concrete used for the linings of the steam and utility tunnels. Penetron was chosen over competitive waterproofing solutions thanks to ease of dosing and project support.
